Birthday party in Lisbon — how to choose well

A child's birthday: sixteen options on Google, prices that do not add up, and the nagging doubt about whether the children will actually enjoy it. It is a decision with a lot of variables. This guide deals with the ones that really matter.

What makes a good party

A good party is one the child remembers. The one with energy, real fun, that made the birthday child feel special. Three things make the difference:

  • The right main experience for the group. The right format depends on the ages. The choice of activity defines everything else.
  • A well-run venue. The best parties have someone responsible for the pacing — the start, the cake, the break. Parents should not have to manage that.
  • A clear process for whoever is organising it. If it takes more than 5 minutes to work out what is included, that is a bad sign.

What to ask before booking

  • What exactly does the price include? Decorations, cake, hosts, drinks?
  • What is the total duration? And the duration of the activity within the pack?
  • Is there a minimum age or height for the attractions?
  • Does the venue have a dedicated area or is it shared with the general public?
  • What is the cancellation policy?

Children's birthday parties at Level Arena

Level Arena has its own birthday packs in Lisbon, with a fixed price per person and a drink included. For the youngest ones, Saturday and Sunday mornings belong to them: the Kids Pack combines The Level Wall and Arcade, a table reserved just for the group and a birthday cake on us.

The Kids Pack is for groups of 10 to 20 guests, at €25 per person, with advance booking. The interactive wall and the arcade are available to the group, with no height restriction: no child is left out.

The party includes 1 drink per person and the cake is on the house. Two items off the checklist right from the start.

Adult birthday parties in Lisbon

Surprising adults is harder. The usual restaurant works — but it does not surprise anyone.

Level Arena is an option for groups aged 16 and over who want real competition. BattleKart, Bomb Squad and Gamer work just as well at 17 as at 40, and the Sports Bar is in the same space to carry the night on after the experiences.

There are two party packs, both for up to 20 guests and with a drink included, at €40 per person: BattleKart + Gamer (105 minutes, with the group split into turns between the track and the game show) and Gamer + Bomb Squad (135 minutes, with Gamer available the whole time and Bomb Squad missions in teams of 5).

For anyone who wants a different kind of birthday in Lisbon, with everything taken care of: that is exactly what this space was designed for.

Quick checklist

  • Confirm the number of people — and their ages
  • Check heights if there are children for BattleKart
  • Confirm what is included in the price
  • Book 2–3 weeks in advance for weekends
  • Clarify the cake and decoration policy

Build your party.
